Why Do We Feel the Need to Agree with Others?
In this episode, we talk about the tendency many of us have to feel the need to agree with others when we may not agree at all. We also share some of our personal struggles with openly sharing our thoughts and ways we navigate conflict with grace and compassion.
Through the lenses of Human Design and the Enneagram, we take a look into why we may hold ourselves back from fully expressing ourselves, why we can fall into people-pleasing tendencies, and how we can cultivate greater acceptance for others and our differences in opinions.
A few questions we present and discuss in this episode are:
- What role do fear and conditioning play in us holding back our voices?
- What role does the need to belong play in our actions and behaviors?
- Which Human Design center can sometimes amplify people-pleasing tendencies to avoid conflict?
- What Enneagram types tend to hold the greatest fear of rejection?
